There are so many different free photo editing apps available, it can be difficult to figure out which one to use.
Out of the various photo editing apps that I have utilized, PIXLR is by far my favorite. On the PIXLR app you can edit photos, make collages, or even add text as well as other images to your photos.

Here are a few reasons why I choose PIXLR over other photo editing apps:
Photo Editing Basics
Just like most photo editing apps, PIXLR allows you to rotate and crop your images.
But some photos are only slightly slanted, therefore if your only able to rotate the image by 90 degrees, the photo will never be straight.
PIXLR allows you to rotate your image by 1 degree at a time allowing you to make slight adjustments to your photos. This adds visual appeal and ensures that the photo is perfectly level. PIXLR even gives you a grid so that you can make sure that everything in the photo lines up correctly.
A few other basic photo editing elements that PIXLR provides are the ability to sharpen, blur, smooth, heal, and fix red eyes in your photos.
The blur tool is beneficial if you want to have a focal point in your photo. It blurs out the background so that your focal point will stand out (just like the photo at the top of the page).
Even though I don’t use every one of these tools when editing every photo, they are still good tools to have when I come across a photo that needs a little bit more editing than the others.
Adjusting a Photo
There are many different aspects that go into adjusting a photo. Most apps only have the option to change the contrast, brightness, and saturation of a photo.
In addition to contrast, brightness, and saturation, PIXLR allows its users to adjust the exposure, temperature, vibrance, highlights, shadows, lightness, and hues of their photos as well.
My favorite adjustment tool to use is vibrance. If you have never used it, you are missing out!
Vibrance helps brighten the colors in your photo. For example, if you take a picture of a flower, the colors of the flower in the photo will look duller than the colors of the flower in person. By using the vibrance tool, you can retrieve the vibrant colors so that the flower in the photo will be as bright and stunning as it is in person.
The adjustment tools in PIXLR are more detailed than other photo editing apps resulting in edited photos that are as stunning as they would be if you had used expensive software.
Fun Features
A few other features that PIXLR provides are borders, stickers, effects, overlays, and the ability to stylize your photos.
These features add a more artistic look to your photos. Some of them change your photo to different shades of black and white, while others add filters that add bright colors to your photo.
The borders are fun to use, especially if you need to block out part of the background. They add style and visual appeal so that your photos will stand out.
Weather you want your photos to be loud and colorful, or you want to just enhance their natural beauty, PIXLR does it all.
