Learn how easy it is to publish a blog post on WordPress.

Every brand or business should have a blog!

Blogs aren’t just great for increasing a businesses SEO ratings, they also help businesses strengthen their credibility. A blog provides businesses with a platform that allows them to share their expert information about various topics that could benefit their audience.

First you will want to gather some relevant topics to write about in your blog. Once you have your topics and content ready, all you have to do is post it.

Follow the simple steps below to quickly publish the first post on your blog!

First you need to login to your WordPress blog. Once you are logged in , you will be directed to this dashboard page pictured to the right.

The dark grey column to the left of the photo has all your options for customizing and posting to your blog.

While there are many options listed, the only option that you need to look for when publishing a blog post is the “Posts” option.

The “Posts” option has a push pin icon to the left of it.

If you hover over the “Posts” option, a drop down menu will appear (Pictured to the right).

In the drop down menu you will have 4 options.  Out of these options the only 2 that you need to be familiar with are “All Posts” and “Add New”.

If you click on “All Posts”, you will be directed to a page that shows you all of the blog posts that you have added to your blog.

In order to create a new blog post, click “Add New”.

Once you click “Add New”, you will be directed to the page photoed to the right.

I use the divi builder theme which is why there is a purple rectangle, just ignore that.

The line above the purple rectangle says “Enter Title Here”. Yep! you guessed it! that is where you will put the title of your blog post.

The large white box below the title is where the content, or text, of your blog post will go.

Once completed, you can either save as a draft, preview, or publish the post (pictured to the right). You will find these options in a box to the right of your screen, next to your text box.

It is always a good idea to preview your blog post before publishing it so that if there are any formatting or grammatical errors, you can fix them before it is viewed by the public.

If you feel your post is ready to be published, just hit the blue “Publish” button.

Once your blogs are published share them to your social channels to increase engagement, and guide more traffic to your website.

The hardest part about publishing a blog post is coming up with a title that grabs the attention of users, as well as creating the content for the post.

Publishing the blog post is the easiest part!
